THE ADVANTAGES.
NO MAINTENANCE
The users prefer the concrete poles owing to the absence of corrosion and maintenance which are specific of the steel poles.
SECURITY
No cracks owing to the use of the prestressing,
thus preventing the corrosion of
steel bars which sometimes occurs in reinforced concrete poles.
No failure: the yield strength is 2,1 times
the nominal strength.
FATIGUE RESISTANCE
The tests show that the prestressed concrete poles
can endure at least twice more alternate
strengths than the reinforced concrete ones,
thanks to the absence of cracks.
QUALITY OF THE MATERIALS
The prestressing demands the top quality
of the high tensile steel and of the concrete,
which is the best guarantee.
Any wrong material is rejected by the factory.
LIGHTNESS
The prestressing allows to reduce the weight
of the poles by 25 to 30% when compared
to the reinforced concrete ones.
CUTTING THE COST
Low cost of production:
Domestic manufacturing and use
of the local materials (cement, agregates...)
High cut of steel needs which means savings
of foreign currencies.
No maintenance.
